Some tips for commercial property landlords before signing a lease
So you have decided to rent out your commercial property, here are a few tips that will hopefully make the experience easier on you the landlord, as well as the tenants you rent to.
Some of these seem like common sense, but often get overlooked, even by experienced landlords.
Simple acts like meeting your tenants in person before signing those documents, will give you a better idea of how they plan to use (and hopefully not abuse) your property, as well as how long they plan to use your premises.
Another simple but effective tip, is to ensure you have the premises cleaned and tidied before the tenants occupy the space. It is good business practice and starts your business relationship off on a good note.
